over60pirate 24 #1 Posted August 21, 2021 7+ years ago, I cut open the muffler and removed the loose baffle that would block the outlet. The extra noise is getting old. Looking for an inexpensive muffler setup for it. Found a muffler # 1117-6002 on Amazon with a 1 1/2" id inlet. And a 1 3/8" id 90° elbow from Oriely aut parts. Thinking of a stack setup. Anyone do this or other ideas?
pacer 3,169 #2 Posted August 21, 2021 These are Cub Cadet mufflers and are in $40-50 range all over the bay. They are really nice, easy to mount with the inlet on the side and have a good sound - and they look pretty good too!!
ET160 29 #3 Posted September 4, 2021 I have one of the Cub Cadet stack mufflers on my B-80. I'm mixed about it, as I get get exhaust in the face sometimes.
over60pirate 24 #4 Posted September 4, 2021 Decided on not using stack. My orig muffler rotted the inlet baffle out and is loud. Looking for idea for! muffler that outlets forward like orig. Or downward. For time being think I'll just bolt in a couple of washers in the outlet.
oliver2-44 9,750 #5 Posted September 4, 2021 The Cub Cadet mufflers @pacer mentioned can be used for a direct replacement under the hood. You can point it straight down or mount it at an angle to point it out the side.
