formariz 11,987 #40 Posted August 20, 2021 Fortunately, Chestnut trees over there are like weeds. They grow everywhere all the time. I guess the bugs have not found them yet. They are extremely important not only for the fruit but also for their wood which is commonly used for furniture. It is a beautiful wood which is a pleasure to work with. The chestnuts are also very important as a food which can be roasted , baked, etc, and are commonly incorporated in many recipes. The ones in photo below are a new plantation belonging to my father.
