Interesting stuff all over the place here. Can someone describe what the function of this clay pot is ?

If you soaked that in water, it would keep something cool...fruit, garlic, tomatoes.  I have something like that for keeping a wine bottle cool.  :thumbs:

Ok, let’s think about this logically.  It’s not huge, but it has two handles.  Is it meant for something heavy?  Soaking something then pouring out?  It strikes me as odd that it doesn’t appear to have a glaze.  Is the clay itself waterproof after being fired?  Scooping into a water bath of some type to get stuff out?  Is it wine related?  Getting the mash out of the juice?
