There are hundreds of these small ponds in our Province the bull rushes act as sweeps that catch air born dust as time moves forward this pond will no longer exist.

Yup.  There was a pond near Whitehall, Mi. where I used to race RC boats almost 40 years ago.  It has now filled in and become a bog.
