I love my shed in a box. There are nice treasures in mine as well. Looks like a nice one, the tractor that is.

Yes, it's a 704. It's all original, (except maybe the seat) and I know the hood has been repainted. I'm not sure the line of ownership, but I will be at least the third owner.

Yes seat should be the square pan. Curious what brand the rear tires are. The one my dad bought new and I mowed with for several years had General Garden Tractor S.S.'s

If you'd like it, I have a square seat off my Lawn Ranger. Its pretty beat up, but a good solid base if you're planning on running a cover on it. Shoot me a PM if you'd like it.

Either way, very nice score.

Thanks for the offer. I have 3 square pans seats in various conditions. The one I'm going to put on this one just need a few cracks welded.

I've never been lucky enough to find a round hood here that looked anything like that one does. Looks to even have good bearings in the front axle and everything. Someone definitely took care of it!

Well done!

@squonk Yes, they are General Garden Tractor S.S. tires on the rear.

Now, can anyone tell me where to find the serial number?

Should be on the left side of the hood stand between the edge of the hood and the lift lever adjustment doo hickey. A sticker. May be gone.

I think that the previous, previous owner is from that area. I'm trying to track him down for a little more back-story.
