rmaynard 15,513 #6 Posted August 16, 2021 Yes, it's a 704. It's all original, (except maybe the seat) and I know the hood has been repainted. I'm not sure the line of ownership, but I will be at least the third owner.
squonk 41,151 #7 Posted August 16, 2021 Yes seat should be the square pan. Curious what brand the rear tires are. The one my dad bought new and I mowed with for several years had General Garden Tractor S.S.'s

Its pretty beat up, but a good solid base if you're planning on running a cover on it. Shoot me a PM if you'd like it. Either way, very nice score.

I have 3 square pans seats in various conditions. The one I'm going to put on this one just need a few cracks welded.
kpinnc 12,088 #13 Posted August 17, 2021 I've never been lucky enough to find a round hood here that looked anything like that one does. Looks to even have good bearings in the front axle and everything. Someone definitely took care of it! Well done!
rmaynard 15,513 #14 Posted August 17, 2021 Just for back from picking it up. Here are some pictures. There's even a tribute to our friend Glenn Pettit @squonk Yes, they are General Garden Tractor S.S. tires on the rear. Now, can anyone tell me where to find the serial number?

Should be on the left side of the hood stand between the edge of the hood and the lift lever adjustment doo hickey. A sticker. May be gone. I'm trying to track him down for a little more back-story.
