Yup. But when I run it at a 45° angle I don't lower the tractors lift lever. As I'm cutting the briars if I come to something I don't want to cut I can pull the cutters back more with the left lever.

@Racinbob  nice pick up !  first thing I notice , is the wide bearing  grease side shields , what could you possibly do  ? small pocket flat screwdriver , or small flat putty knife , carefully  remove seals . carb cleaner flush out , LUCAS HD GREEN CHASSIS GREASE ,  why ?  550 deg drop point , polyurea rated , stands up to brutality , that idler pulley , shuttle box lubrication  detailing , will make a huge difference , also LUCAS MARINE GREASE , 570 deg , drop point , do a functional  detailing at every stage , trust nothing , like your PTO LEVER  STARTING POINT ,  firm it up , spacers / lubricant , might even adda HEIM  joint to the end of rod connection , change out the trunnion , very smooth / solid , pete
