We are here to help you again in a couple of months when you decide to buy your second one !! I bet if we took a poll there are twice as many of us that own multiple Wheel Horses then there are who just own one. Funny how that happens.

I did in fact buy the 312-A and I couldn’t be happier.

Congrats Joe, keep us updated with how she works out and of course with any things that might need fixing. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Congrats on the purchase. I think you will find it easier to work on than you think. The older ones with less "safety" stuff are even easier with simpler wiring. Kinda like the new fuel injected cars vs the old carburetors of yester-year.

As always, you know where to come if you have any questions :handgestures-thumbupright:

I’d get that deck off, turn it over and examine it carefully. That is an older deck, and that diamond plate is to likely cover holes or weak spots.  Never buy a Wheel Horse without a good deck, never. Decks are very costly and very hard to find.  That tractor is not one of the very desirable ones. It’s overpriced. Keep looking, remember this, do not believe anything the seller tells you.

Leaves? I got a ton of them every year for 23 years. I used a powered vacuum blower before I found the real answer. Best solution for leaves is a walk behind leaf blower with at least 8 HP. Not a 5 HP, at least 8 or more HP. I can do now what used to take a day in at most a couple hours.

Saaawwwweeeetttt!

Was wondering about those pike nuts!  Wonder what the PO had in mind with those..... was he into Harleys by any chance!?!?!?  Maybe using them for a boot cleaner didn't want to get the floorboards dirty?!?!? :D Looks like a trip hazard to me!

service manual that calls out the locations of these safety's I'd buy you a beer.

Right here Joe...every manual you will need.

Upper right hand corner in the search block type in the model (should be on a sticker under the seat) select files and hit the search. Be amazed at all the files in there

BTW Joe your close enough to PA so there is always the Big Show for horse thieving . Always some nice horses there for sale and good deals to be had. Your area shouldn't be too much of a problem finding say a nice 854 or somethin. Always held the first weekend after Father's Day in June.

"front yard for holidays with a cart holding a Christmas tree or pumpkins and hay - maybe even a lap around the neighborhood for Halloween to see all the spooky houses?!?!? Yup im hooked already"

You gonna fit in real well around here! :handgestures-thumbupright:

I was spying that show looks like a great time - shame I missed this years but I'd definitely take a blast out there with the family to check it out. Good reason to buy myself a fathers day gift???

Yes Sir,  put it on your 2022 calendar .    Always the week end after Fathers day.    We got buckets of WH parts.

The 312A looks great.   Perfect tractor for your yard work.

Saw this on FB. I have no idea if it will fit your tractor. I you want the details, let me know, I will PM you. Selling what appears to me to be a Power Flow bagger only. Not the tractor.
