We were ther in full regalia but the heavy rains and HAIL Mary came apon us Friday night. Turned the show grounds, which are marvelous BTW, to absolute mud. Add to the fact that yep... there are morons on side by sides and trucks who insist on making things worse leaving ruts and mud everywhere. All that aside we still somehow managed to have a good time . Some pics ... standby @Achto whilst I sort them... Ok Dan brought his Cockshutt 30 and the big trailer with seven horses on hopes of pulling the 'shutt but all pulling got cancelled by the rain. Here he had to get pulled out of the parking area . WHX?? 48,813 #4 Posted August 11, 2021 (edited) We got him loaded so all was good ... shoulda got a pic of his 1076 that he was using for a hauler ..... he got that stuck too and if any body has qualms about getting a trailer queen dirty look away. We did manage to git in a couple of furrows tho @PeacemakerJack .along side some steamers. Sorry we missed Uncle Bob's farm days ... but.... Punkin farmer following me then Dan and ??.... Achto 27,562 #5 Posted August 11, 2021 Here are a few pics that I was able to get. First the line up that Jim & I brought. The clay at on this grounds sure puts a great shine on a plow. The mold boards looked like chrome after we were done plowing. This JD looked to be cooking something good. WHX?? 48,813 #8 Posted August 11, 2021 (edited) Speaking of old iron our good buddy @oldiron613 showed up with a show vintage garden master with his bro Carl who also had a really nice Gibson. They stopped at our camp to chew the rag and a brew but one of the tractors wouldn't restart ...danged magnetos.. So I offered to pull them back to their camp. Halfway ther that's when the monsoons and hail came in. Sorry no pics we was too busy fighten the weather. All the while bros back at our camp swilin !!! The Frick Eclipse belongs to my friend Al and the Illinois belongs to my friend Willie. Willie's engine is one of 7 Illinois that are still in working condition. A nice Nicholas Sheppard. Some Case engines Working sale model Case. Avery boiler over engine. This club has a nice cut away to show what is inside the boiler of a steam engine. Some oil & gas power iron. These 3 all belong to Rob Bush. This Power Queen is one of 5 known in working condition. In years past this show had 3 of the 5 on site.
