ModelANut 2 #1 Posted August 6, 2021 Hello, I'm new to wheel horse tractors but a friend asked me to do some work on his Ride Away Senior. I was told that the trans and rear are both from a Model A Ford. I own several Model A's and am familiar with them. Can I assume that the oil used in the Model A's is the same that should be used in the rear and transmission of a Senior? (Ford used 600W oil for these vehicles) Would this same weight oil be used for the gear reduction after the trans and at the wheels? Additionally are the brake shoes and brake components the same as a Model A Ford? Also is there any way to identify the exact age of the tractor? Information on these old Seniors seems hard to find. I appreciate any info you can share!

Pullstart 62,911 #10 Posted August 11, 2021 to RedSquare @ModelANut! My wife has a Senior and I have a Lever Steer, they sure are a blast! As @AMC RULES stated, I’ve been told 600W in everything as well. It would be cool to see pictures of your friend’s project. If you need any other help… as you can tell there is quite a bit of commotion on this site and everybody is super helpful!
