Does anyone have one of these that they can part with? Mine for drill press went bad.

I think I do, I'll poke around the junk bin later on. Had something a lot like that on a wood lathe.

@formariz

Does it have to be a vintage one Cas?

If not, you might wanna upgrade to the more modern "Slap Stop" type with the big stop button.

If no one here comes up with one and it doesn't need to be vintage you can get the new version here. There are versions of that on fleabay, but they are $200 and up.

I actually ordered a similar model as @Zeekshows without the big Stop paddle, but I really would like to keep the machine with the same look. I have the same Cutler-Hammer in several machines and I am kind of fond of that system.

 @formariz Can you get a picture of the numbers on the side. I have an electrical shop down the road that has all that old stuff. They bailed us out many times with old breakers for schools. I wouldn't be surprised if they had it.

I appreciate that. No numbers on this one only the specs shown.

However the others I have of higher rating they have the number shown. Besides that they are identical

OK Cas. I can take these pics to them. and let you know. I can probably go tomorrow morning. They are 6 miles away. What would you say is a reasonable price if they have it?

Under$200.00 LOL.

 Don’t go out of your way for it. Not an emergency. Considering their excellent track record this being the first time I seen one fail, I would be willing to go up to $30.00 or so.

I actually took it apart and it is just worn down to nothing.

I'm fairly certain I have that exact switch (visibly anyways) set aside somewhere that I ripped out in an electrical demo a few years ago - problem is finding it... I'll have to take a look around. If Mike isn't able to find one for reasonable and I can find the one I have, it's yours for the freight. I know i have others as well (not necessarily CH) but they're not of the same vintage.

That would be great. If they also have the plate get it. I like to have spares of everything. Let me know the total and how you want to receive it.

@squonk  back to her old glory without some Chinese eyesore sticking out and ruining it.  And thinking of grandchildren a spare for 50 years later when this one wears out. Thank you very much.

It's gonna look good as old once there's a little patina on the bright white lettering! :ychain:

That will happen at the next staining job or right after checking oil level on tractor!
