During one such visit, they told me they would rotate my tires free, as a courtesy service. I said fine. Years ago my grand daughter put a scratch in the right front wheel with her trike. Nothing terrible, but noticeable. When I got my truck back, that scratch was still on the right front wheel. I guess courtesy services are not what they use to be. On one such visit they said they checked the cabin air filter, and it was fine. It never had a filter in it when I bought it. I don't go there anymore. tom2p 2,394 #58 Posted August 5, 2021 (edited) my 'lug nut' story decades ago ... late 70's / early 80's I had a 70 SS Chevelle I was planning to sell a friend with a 70 SS Chevelle (pictured below) wanted to swap wheels / tires since my wheels and trim rings were in better shape ... so he swapped them on the way home from his garage in my 70 SS I was on an open stretch on the highway and opened it up and went through the gears - then all of the sudden the car began to knock and vibrate my heart sunk as I thought the worst ... oh no ... rod or crank bearing ... but then as I slowed to a stop pushed the clutch in and blipped the gas lightly - the knock did not increase and then stopped when the car came to a stop ok ... but wth pulled into an empty parking lot and discovered the front lug nuts were loose and backing off ... ughhh ! The Scoobies were famous for having VERY stuck rims as mentioned earlier. Guudensnuggin- open end wrench tight. 2. Guudentite- 1/2 inch rachet tight. 3. Fuuchentorqen- impact driver tight. I do re-tap or chase the hub threads any time I remove a wheel and anti-sieze the crap out of the bolts. Same goes for the bolts if they need it. When radial tires first came out decades ago you were not supposed to switch them side to side but it’s perfectly fine now. The belts were prone to shifting back then I believe.
