Chris should be a good tractor when you have gone thru it. Just take your time.

:text-coolphotos:                 The Charger has a Sundstrand that would have exited the factory with Dexron Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). At some point that may have been changed over to 10 W 30motor oil. Remove the dipstick from the transmission and use a white paper towel to see what color the fluid is. If it is pink you have ATF and if it is amber it is 10 W 30. If it is ATF buy some Valvoline Mercon which is a direct replacement for Dexron.. You will also want to replace the filter which is NAPA 1410  (Wix 51410)

what fluid goes in the transmission

It could be ATF or motor oil.

Do not mix the two.

Oops, I see Richard has your answer.

Nice find.   I always liked the early spring loaded front  mule drive.   And yours even has the belt guard.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Throttle cable (yellow) comes under exhaust behind governor arm through the clip on the breather and to bottom end of rocker bar.  Choke come up from under the air shroud
