NGK is a top quality plug

many prefer NGK over Champion - going back years and even more currently (MIM Champion quality has dropped ?)

NGK threads are better - NGK rolled vs Champion machined (and too often poorly machined)

NGK insulator and electrode are also better

I believe the NGK equiv to a Champion H-10 is NGK B-6L

(but please verify)

Granted, this subject has been covered before (3,700 times) but why not sit down and hash it over again?

:confusion-confused:               The strange part is if you go to the application chart for each manufacturer of spark plugs for this same engine they seldom mtch the conversion charts.          :angry-tappingfoot:

I agree Richard ... you thumb thru those books in the spark plug aisle it's like looking for a needle in a haystack and if you do luck out and find the correct one is it correct?

We could go nuts here taking about heat ranges and electrode styles but most if not all of my big blocks have an H-10 and the smalls a CJ-8 with no issues. Heck a couple I even think I am running  those cheapys they throw in with a gasket set.

Those are good plugs Crazy... had some in a dual plugged shovel head once. Thing rocked but the other motor mods helped! :)

As the make up of gasoline has changed over the years, The heat range recommendation for some engines have changed also. Depending on when a particular spark plug chart was printed when Jimbo was standing in the DIY'r at Quick Trip as compared to the chart "apples was looking at at Keystone Auto Parts, account for some of the discrepancy.
