76c12091520h 3,608 #1 Posted July 21, 2021 As many of you know, I have been offering complete spindle assemblies for the later model "metric" 42"- 48" decks, utilizing all new hardware, bearings, reconditioned shafts, and #114568 spindle housings. Tonight I thought I would spend some time at the bench and assemble some more. As I was laying out my parts, I began to notice that the spindle housings had a different feel to them, slightly rough and unfinished. Then I noticed the real problems: no machined in grooves for the internal snap rings, no lip on the center bore to hold the bearing, and no threads in the holes to attach the spindles to the deck. The pictures tell the story. An example of quality control at its finest, and we're not talking about 2 or 3 housings, I have a BUNCH of them!- fresh from Toro...... 1

Bill D 1,911 #3 Posted July 21, 2021 (edited) Looks like they sent you unfinished housings by mistake. Time to make up some steel housings. Edited July 22, 2021 by Bill D
