Tires and rims.LOOK!!!

Recommended Posts

Jason X

I have a 1972 WHEEL HORSE COMMANDO. The rear tires were old (like 38 years) but hanging in there. When one finally went flat it shredded. I found that 22 x 7.5 x 12 are discontinued but 9.5 will fit just fine. $80 each was the cheapest tire I could find but then I found these at walmart.com and Amazon. They're already on rims for Husqvarna. I was gonna have them mounted on my horsy rims because they're cheaper than just buying the tire. Guess what? It's the exact same rim as my horsy!!! They bolt right up!!!

Good find!  I have found that a more traditional 23” tire fits on a Commando 800 just fine too, FYI.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I guess you could sit on it though... maybe have the missus stitch up a round cushion for the tush.

They do!  And for a 'worker', I don't think I would paint them white either!  They look just fine like that.

Awesome Deal!  Wish I knew that was there a couple months ago... I had to track down rims and tires separate and thought it was a good deal at about $65...but had to paint the rims and remove and mount tires myself...  You picked the much smart option for sure...they look great and I like the grey rims myself for a worker...that's what color I painted mine

I think that actually Wheel Horse actually used the grey paint on some of the late square hoods. The certainly used it on my 416 and 520.
