CCW 1,295 #3 Posted July 12, 2021 This thread made me stop and think a moment about how we might be able to ID a photo as a scam. The one idea that comes to mind is whether the photo is a high resolution digital photo. If it is scanned from an old picture then it will look grainy and not display the detail we would expect. Looking at the photo above certainly appears to be low resolution. When the cost is 10k I would demand a current photo with proof of current date. If you right click a photo you will get a dropdown menu and one of the choices should involve an 'image search, google or otherwise. You will be presented with all the websites that contain that image. In this case there were numerous sites using the exact photo with the oldest one apparently the owner in Illinois which has been up for years. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
