illinilefttackle 399 #1 Posted February 6, 2008 Since I have to rebuild my 12hp engine anyway (uses some oil) Where do I buy my parts? I will probably want to machine it too-but I would like to do most of the work myself. Are there some things I can do to give it more power? Leave out balance wheels? I've read things about 16hp rods, etc. Are these things I should look into? I have overhauled countless car -racing engines-but not one Kohler. Do you guys have any suggestions? Sites for parts, etc. Tricks? I used too have a cabinet in my shop with a pad lock on it-and a sign on its door "SPEED SECRETS" . I'm afraid the cabinet is empty now-except for maybe a bottle of Alleve- I know you guys have done a lot of engines in these Horses-so I'm consulting the experts-Thanks-AL :D
Buzz 502 #2 Posted February 6, 2008 If you want to hop up your Kohler check out Brian Millers website. He wrote the bible on getting more horses out of your Kohler engine. He has a machine shop and sell parts. He's located in Columbia MO. Check out: http://members.aol.com/pullingtractor/index.htm
