Expanding Foam???

Recommended Posts

I've seen Expanding Foam used for many different things before but this was a first.  :o   Well I don't recommend you use it to repair a wheel.

Perhaps JB Weld would be more suitable.

Expanding Foam

Maybe it was actually polyurethane glue?  Basically the same thing but doesn't expand as far.  Still, wrong thing to use.

I would go with the POR 15 SEALANT myself to patch the holes after prepping.

Lots of prep is needed!!  The open cannel in the wheel had at one point sheet steel welded over it from the factory, I've seen them patched before but never filled in with foam.  A lazy quick fix.
