If  you do go with a slab, make sure to use a heavy plastic liner UNDER the slab and bring the liner up the sides in order to prevent the concrete from wicking moisture from the ground.

I wired in a bathroom vent. It uses very little electricity. However, a dehumidifier is like a reverse air conditioner. It will eat you alive in electric bills.

That’s also true, I will see if I can find an energy efficient one but I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
