That being said, due to age the gaskets and seals etc. are due for replacement. Your plan to go through the engine is perfect timing. Reset the clock to zero while everything is still in good shape is not expensive. It's called an overhaul or a refresh. You will find that all of the internal moving parts should be in good condition. You should not need to replace any major parts and spend big $$$. A top end job, new STD rings and clean up the valves and seats, replace all gaskets and seals. The end result will be a like new Onan that should provide thousands of hours of dependable service. If you are the original owner and have done regular maintenance since day one, then just a decarbon and fresh gaskets/seals is all that is needed. However, if you are not the original owner and service history is unknown, then a teardown/inspection would be the proper way to go as planned. FYI: We are going to be closed for vacation, not taking any orders July 8th through the first week of August. Working on our personal Onan projects and maybe get some fishing in too!
