Correctly Identifying A Horse

Recommended Posts

So I’m getting a lot of mixed information on my tags. Can someone please correct me on how to properly list a tractors information? Model number, Serial number, so on.

in this photo, I see I made some errors and listed some stats twice, please ignore that.

Some folks are telling me to ignore Tractordata information?

There will be many different ideas, you would have to do custom tags probably to please all. I like the extra info. but some may not too each his own I guess. Bob :twocents-twocents:

Dave, are these something that you're making up for sale?  Is that a vinyl sticker or a metal plate?  [ edit: NVM, I answered that myself!  found your ad ]

I don't think "21-10K806" is actually a serial number though, isn't that the "MODEL NUMBER" ?  and 310-8 the "MODEL NAME" ?

Keeping in mind I'm not overly familiar with anything built past 1977 I would have to agree with the above.

Unfortunately I also have to agree with Mike here. I have very little trust in Tractor Data because I've found a few mistakes.

Back in the '60s the model name and the model number would actually be the same thing on some.

To my mindset, a serial number is something that changes with every given machine that's built sequentially.

Ok, I’ve updated the information on Facebook, and will here as well. I’ll just offer it both ways, tractordata or customer desired. Thank you everyone for the input.

Yes Sir, laser engraving is my full time job now, my previous employer went belly up. I’ve done a lot of research and testing with this thing. The price these cost for a quantity machine is insane. Here’s some stuff I’ve done…. Steel, aluminum, stone, plastics, leather…deep engraving to .001 deep engrave.
