Video of my CBR-327 cutting on my 1961 Wheel Horse 701 tractor.   This chain drive sickle works a little better cutting than an RJ/Suburban front cutter bar ( and I own both types)!

Always wanted a sickle bar. And one day I'm gonna get my 701 restored. One of my favorites!

Nice video! You don't see those in NC anymore.

@Lane Ranger  like the idea of a sickle bar , would love to spend some time ,  detailing one of those ,  that shuttle box looks like it could really gain from operational function.  from pto drive  thru pulleys , just thinking , pete

pete: the wobble box on the 42/50 inch sickles really have a lot of action going on!

@Lane Ranger  yes thats the area, and obvious related connections that I  would love to , set up on a bench with a slow pulley drive set up , just to see what can be improved . that power flow hand off is the issue , sure that improved lubrication , would be part  of that .looking  for a  slow motion view of that , to find a gain spot . now i,m on the hunt , let you know , pete

Pete:  Here you go this is one of two youtube videos i did (one with my brother David)  of the inside working of the Wheel Horse 42 and 50 inch sickle bar mower wobble box!

There is a lot of thinks going on inside this.   Bearings, e rings, brass bushings, and heat!   30 weight oil was what was the original fluid recommendation from Wheel Horse.

@Lane Ranger - I sent you a PM, wondering if you have a side sickle bar you might want to sell or trade for?  I will be in your area Friday afternoon....
