Jrblanke 857 #1 Posted June 28, 2021 Well folks, another big show in the books, and I’m already looking forward to next year! I had such a blast seeing old friends, and making new ones! Each year it seems like I meet a few more people and am able to strike up new friendships. Even without the home made pie and hot water for showers, it was such a fantastic time! My only regret is not having more time to spend with folks. (And by the way, I did hit the Giant Grocery and got some shoo fly pie, hehehe) This was about my 7th big show, and looking back, its funny how my perspective of the show has changed. At the the first show I went to back in 2014, I arrived thinking it was all about the tractors, and when I left, I was thinking it was more about the people. Now I KNOW its about the people. Always enjoy a rhubarb and strawberry pie! There was a pie shop in Amsterdam, NY that had them only for a couple of weeks each year in mid-July. Several times I feared for my life as a youngster came off sideways and veered in my direction.
