I agree…dad bought this STX38 brand new in 1989…mowed just under an acre all those years. He has 4 grandsons and they have been mowing his lawn with this tractor for years (he loves the time with them and he pays em all well). A few weeks ago he called and says the transmission has split wide open. Crazyredhorse 295 #6 Posted June 28, 2021 Had one at work dont remember what model it was but a older deisel thing was a tank always breaking down would have to walk back to shop get the case and drag it back ended up using it to cut feilds around property just ran it wide open all the time while I did it clogged fuel filters alot I remember.but never really liked them after that.
