interesting , he went through a lot of effort to do this test.  however, i would like to see him use them batteries for one year and re-do the test...i can guarantee different results

also, just because the batteries are made by the same maker and look the same does not mean they are the same inside!

yes , the price of batteries has increased a lot in the last few years...some of that is due to auto parts stores often having to install them for "free".....i doubt if Costco would install one, i may be wrong. and there is the ever increasing problem of having to "warranty" batteries that are fine.  customers sometimes have "problems" that are totally imaginary.   if you leave the headlights on overnight and the battery is dead is it REALLY the battery's fault? if the alternator is crap and doesn't keep the battery charged is that the battery's fault?

I don't know (or care) who or what IS at fault, but it isn't me! :D

About a dozen years ago I had two vehicles with the Walmart batteries.  After destroyed battery trays, washer pumps, needless alternator replacements and time wasted, I won’t be buying even a flashlight battery from Walmart.  Yes, they kept handing me new batteries but it became crystal clear that I had to give up.  After moving to another brand, there were no more issues.  I believe that the Walmart buyers squeeze every last cent from the manufacturers and quality suffers.
