Gregor 4,846 #1 Posted June 13, 2021 I thought I had already started a thread on my C-125 rebuild, but after several searches, I can't find it, so I guess I will start over. The good, the bad, and the ugly! The good. I got the block back from the machine shop on Tuesday. .020 over on the bore, crank .010 under, new valve guides, and new valve seats. By Wednesday morning it was assembled and sitting back on the tractor. I was to the point where all I needed to do, was fill with fuel, and install a battery. Ready for test firing. The bad. While putting gas into it, the can slipped out of my hand, and I dumped gas all over the fender pan. While the paint was dry, it was not cured. I have a fair amount of repainting to do. Then my brother showed up with his Toro Groundmaster 1000L. Kawasaki FD620D motor. It has an overheating problem I am trying to figure out. Through circumstances beyond my control, the radiator now has a hole in it. I have to take it out to be repaired, but that will have to wait until Monday. Installed new head gaskets. Really didn't see an obvious problem with the old ones, but everything else has been check, and rechecked. Since I don't have a radiator, I can't even test it. The ugly? He went back to Iowa. Some people simply cannot work together. We just have different ways of doing things I guess. I like to do things right. He just wants it done. NOW! Since I am waiting on the radiator, I may get back to the 125 today. Hope it runs.

Tuneup 1,433 #3 Posted June 13, 2021 Is there a picture mimicking the famous Stars and Stripes shot of the GI putting his Jeep down with a shot from his .45? Down here, I would have mentioned the caliber that finally took out that radiator. "You want it done now? (Rack the slide) OK, it's done." Air cooled forever! I just had to say it.
Gregor 4,846 #4 Posted June 14, 2021 The drive belt on my C-125A looks good, but occasionally wants to jump off the idler pulley. I don't know if it is an actual Wheel Horse belt, or an off the shelf replacement. It;s as if the motor pulley needs to go on another 1/8" or so, but it's on as far as it will go. Wheelhorsepartsandmore does not list this belt ( 108501 ) for sale. Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the belt that is suppose to be on it? Thanks Greg

Thanks Greg I checked RCPW as they usually have alternate belts with size. They have 108501 for $48.48 with free shipping. The two Stens belts $35 and change True Blue Belts:you will have to pay shipping on them 258-081 5/8" x 81" 298-082 5/8" x 82" So there won't be much different in price from there. The blue belts from TSC if you have one local run around $27.00. Edited June 14, 2021 by Lee1977
Gregor 4,846 #6 Posted June 15, 2021 The serial number tag, and the key chain are on the C-125A. That means it's officially done. I believe the tractor is VERY sound mechanically. As with all my tractors there are places where the paint could be better, but then there are a lot of places where it could be worse. I did some re-paint after the gas can fiasco, I think it turned out OK. I got the "creep" adjusted out of the trans, so it's fine now. The motor starts immediately, and sounds great. To me anyway. Now that it's done, it's time to move on to the 175. 6 13
