plumb-r 34 #1 Posted June 12, 2021 I have a 1980 C145A and was wondering how to Grease the pto pulley on the side of the engine properly. There are no zerk fittings so kind of lost. The pulley comes off easy enough. Do I just remove it, Grease it and the shaft and then replace? It seams as though there is nothing to keep the Grease in. No seal or anything. There should be a seal on the backside of the PTO pulley toward the engine (see the green ring in the photo) . Don't be afraid to clean the clutch mating surface also: de-grease and possibly hit it with some 80-120 grit sandpaper on a sanding block to clean it up and remove some of the glaze that typically builds up. 7
Pollack Pete 2,273 #3 Posted June 12, 2021 Yup.......I also use high temp wheel bearing grease.Don't over-do it with the grease though.A little bit goes a long way.
