Snow thrower completing package 6-9113

Looking for some information on completing package 6-9113... it's my understanding that the 6-6216-6 single stage (basic) snow thrower can have the 3/8" bolt and bushing to mount direct to the frame on pre-tach-a-matic WH tractors, believe that is a 6-9112 completing kit? And the completing kit 6-9113 will allow the mounting to a tach-a-matic? Like my '77 C-120.

If so, can the completing kits be found? Or, it is best to shorten the mounting frame and add a 5/8" for the tach-a-matic mounting? I found an unused 6-6212-6 snow thrower and would like to make it work for my C-120...

The 6-6212 is the basic unit. Is that all there is less the completing kit?

You have it figured out.

You should be able to drill 5/8" holes and slide a round bar in secured with cotter pins.

How much shorter they are I think I can measure.

Some of the hitch flat side bars are straight and others are bent I've noticed so the snowthrower sits lower than the tractor frame but do not know why.

Check your frame, the holes might already be there.  They are on my '80 C-175 on which I plan to use the older model thrower without modification.

Thank you everyone for the help. I did get a chance to fit the snow thrower today... it works. My C-120 has the drill holes in the frame to work with the existing 6-9112 completing package. I don't know if the completing package 6-9113 (attaching to the tach-a-matic) makes installing easier. Installing the snow thrower was pretty easy.

Here's a few pics...

I don't think so.  About the same.

I believe it's easier to lift with the longer mounting frame and the geometry.

The only disadvantage that I can see with the earlier bolt on to frame completing package is, the lift is not as high... the mounting bracket will make contact to the hood if you install the flag on the third hole up. With the Tach-A-Matic completing package, the snow thrower can be lifted higher (in "stow").
