WHwest8597 85 #1 Posted June 10, 2021 Looking for a frame reinforcement plate for a 314-8 or the dimensions to make one.
Lee1977 6,659 #2 Posted June 10, 2021 I didn't put a full plate on mine but I could draw one up if no one can come up with one. I'll have to check a few dimations to add to the one I have. I used two 1/4" x 1 1/2" top and bottom as my transmission plate was not broken. I'll have to take a picture of the drawing and post it here I have around 95% of what's needed on my drawing for a full plate. Here is a picture of my tractor. 3

Lee1977 6,659 #6 Posted June 11, 2021 You can use what ever thickness you like. !/4" or 5/16" is all you need. There are ridges on the 314 plate. I would place two 1/8" flat steel behind the plate at the mounting holes.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,043 #7 Posted June 11, 2021 Will guess the 13/16" holes should be 13/32" holes. Garry

Maxwell-8 4,275 #9 Posted June 11, 2021 When should you make a reinforcement plate? Does the trans support bend/break?
WheelhorseBob 1,549 #10 Posted June 11, 2021 I asked this question a while back and got a bunch of great responses. 1
peter lena 8,627 #11 Posted June 11, 2021 @Lee1977,agree with you on those reinforcements , especially if you regularly are pushing / pulling or maxing out your horse. like the FEL SETUP . also a regular look see on your chassis , for " working rusty areas " are a sign of twisting / bending . stay after it . pete

They can crack around the transmission bolts when using ground engaging implements. Hitting things that don't move is my guess. Some have cracked completely if not found and fixed. 1
