Garden Seeder

Recommended Posts

Do any of our knowledgeable members know of any seeders made to fit our tractors? :confusion-confused: Wife and I are tired of planting seeds by hand. We plan on enlarging our garden over this year.  I have seen the push type, but thought it would be cool to have one for our tractors.  Please post pics if you got them.

I have seen Ground driven planter units converted to sleeve hitch.. However they are quite pricey..

I am in the middle of converting my earthway planter to a sleeve hitch.

@ebinmaineYes I do have one. I bought this as NOS a number of years ago from Don Kane at the big show. One of only three that I have ever seen that is totally complete. Even came with the paperwork!

Very cool piece.

Trina and I were both only just a few months into the Wheelhorse world when we went to @stevebo's meet n greet a few years back.

I remember that machine well.

Eriks Red horse herd

There was a lot of allied planter attachments made to fit Wheel Horse tractors. Planet jr, Brinly just to name a few. Planet jr had plates that would plant just about any garden seed. Brinly would only plant larger seeds ( beans ,corn ect). The pond walk behind tractors and RJ-35, RJ58,59 they offered the planet jr x9135 . Its basically a Planet jr 300 with out the handles and a hitch and disbursement handle added. They didnt offer any planters again untill 65 or 66 and then it was the brinly and then i think they did offer a Cole planter for a short time. Here is a pic of my Planet jr x9135 . Ive never used this one. It was a basket case when i got it and had to redo it. Works as if new now. I still use my grand fathers 300A to plant seeds in my garden. I think Planet jr made the best garden seeder. You still can find them at auctions and else where. They do being a pretty price on Ebay.
