Gregor 4,846 #1 Posted May 25, 2021 I don't know if this really falls under "Other Brands" or not, but I thought I would ask anyway. Lawnboys have very finikiy, plastic carburetors. Do you think ut would be OK to soak one of them in Berrymans, and then run through a sonic cleaner?
WHX?? 48,823 #2 Posted May 25, 2021 I would be prone to say yes. Might want to be careful about what fluid is in the ultra tho.

WHX?? 48,823 #4 Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) You'll be fine then. Simple green or purple power should do a nice job. Not sure how it does on varnish but dirt and grime Edited May 26, 2021 by WHX24
Stepney 2,325 #5 Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) Are we talking an old F series plastic carb?? Or a Duraforce? Either way. The jets are all removable on both. And the usual 'finicky carb' tends to actually be intake or crank seal leaks. Very simple carb. As for the question at hand.. I'd remove and soak the parts, but not the whole carb.. I've watched parts simply vanish in my carb cleaner before. Edited May 26, 2021 by Stepney
