Maxwell-8 4,276 #1 Posted May 23, 2021 (edited) I have been seeing this nice Allis Chalmers big ten on the local craigslist. I don't know anything about them, Are they any good? Has a Briggs 10 hp. Nicely restored. she has only 3 gears no HI and LOW. I think he is asking 800$ for the tractor that runs and drives with all the attachments in the picture. Haven't seen a tractor that clean here in Belgium. Edited May 23, 2021 by Maxwell-8
squonk 41,136 #2 Posted May 23, 2021 Allis garden tractors are tough. Nice seat and hubcaps. Worth it IMHO! @ACman

Stepney 2,325 #4 Posted May 24, 2021 So long as the diff was tight, the bevel gearbox in the center of the machine was in good shape, and the steering sector wasn't too worn.. these were fine machines. A little cantankerous for my liking. I had a B10 as well as an early Simplicity 725 cyclops. Neat little machines.
D_Mac 8,619 #5 Posted May 25, 2021 A friend of mine has one. I am waiting for him to be tired of it so I can get my hands on it. His is all there and runs well but not as nice to look at as that one is. He has a deck and plow for it as well.
