I've seen blocks of the stuff at places like Hobby Lobby. Don't know how suitable that foam is, though. Try a search of 'upholstery foam' on the interweb. It's like you were both thinking the same... Can't do upholstery shop.. Ain't any around. SylvanLakeWH 25,558 #8 Posted May 22, 2021 (edited) I used an old foam backpackers sleeping pad - ensolite - because I had it on hand so the price was right. Got the vinyl out of the jungle… cheap. Ain't any around Purchase some carpet padding, use spray adhesive to laminate layers together until you have desired thickness. peter lena 8,627 #12 Posted May 22, 2021 @ebinmaine , asking for a denser type ? boat seating foam is best for that , that foam is lifesaving specific , use that regularly for my knee exercises , firm yet very compliant . most boat supply shops have a foam scrap bin from left overs , on seats , comes various thicknesses , I have 3" and 1 1/2 ". makes kneeling on a hard floor with artificial knees a non issue . pete 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
