Jonnyrocket132 38 #27 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) So after almost a year of having the 417-8 I went to start it and it ran fine but after moving it maybe 30 feet it died and I tried to crank it but the volt meter showed that the battery was dead so I charged it and I tested the charging system and discovered that it has stopped charging the battery. I am not entirely sure on how to test the charging system other than having a meter at the battery. and I have also found the same problem with my B 80 but my 310-8 is charging the battery just fine. richmondred01 2,237 #28 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Start with testing the volts coming out of the stator. (2 white wires) if good, go to the rectifier on the blower housing and test that. If the rectifier is at 14+ - volts then post a new message and we will go from there. Same with the b80 only the it’s a regulator and it’s on the inside of the dash tower.
