Bowieeeeeeeeee 1 #1 Posted May 11, 2021 I have a 13-38xl that the parking brake is not engaging. The pedal is fine and it will lock but the tractor still moves freely and it does not stop immediately when I press the clutch. The only thing I could find was this snapped cable. The photos show both ends of it. Look at the tip of the screwdriver for location. So here are my questions. What is the cable, would it cause my issue and does anyone have a part number? Also I'm new to this forum so if I posted this wrong I apologize. Thanks in advance for the help.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,094 #2 Posted May 11, 2021 Welcome to the forum. There are 10 different model numbers and model years. Could you post the model number and serial number of the tractor so we can link you to the correct information? Not a model we know much about - too new Garry

Bowieeeeeeeeee 1 #6 Posted May 14, 2021 Again thanks so much for the replies. When you say you have a link to cheaper parts is that for all wheel horses in general? If so I just picked up a 520lxi (yeah, another newer one but I do have a 72' raider 12 I just bought from the original owner. Even had the plastic wheel horse bag that they put the manuals in!) and would like to order some filters and such.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,094 #7 Posted May 15, 2021 Yes this is an online Toro dealer plus has much more. http://www.psep.biz/index.htm The very bottom line on the first page has OEM Parts Lookup in blue. For Toro parts use the Toro Consumer on the 2nd page. For engine parts use the engine maker. I understand they have a reasonable flat rate shipping charge so good time to build an order. I find the site hard to navigate but I'm not the sharpest tack in the box. Here is a link to your tractor so you can see what you are looking for https://www.psep1.biz/arinet.asp and next https://www.psep1.biz/arinet.asp#/s/TO/71190//1/ If you know the part number use it and all the parts lists that contain that part number will come up. Which identifies another problem. Wheel Horse had a habit of using one manual for multiple similar models so the same item may have five different part numbers but the online lists do not identify what model uses what part. Only an original parts list has that information and of course we do not have all of them. Drive belts are a good example. When in doubt ask questions. This dealer also has Stens parts and others. When you search for a Toro part number if they have an alternative it will also come up with the Toro part. https://www.rcpw.com/ All dealers appear to use the same info that Toro has. Over the years Toro has eliminated many parts lists or has removed the illustrations from many but kept the parts list making it hard to identify parts. We may have it in our Files so search them using a model number. When the results come up they are in a random order so look through them all and on possibly more than one page. Let us know if you have trouble and keep the questions coming. Garry
