Alex175 784 #1 Posted May 10, 2021 While at the In-Laws yesterday celebrating Mothers Day, I was talking with my father in law who has an old Duo-Therm mower. His is a 1955 model, and from what we've been able to look up it appears most of the mowers were branded as Duo-Trim, manufactured by Duo-Therm (see ad below). His however is badged and branded as a Duo-Therm and he has yet to come across any others like that. He recently found a parts list from a 1957 Duo-Trim that appears to use all the same parts as his 1955 model. I was wondering if anyone on here had any more information or knew something about these models. He has been looking for a set of hub caps for it and found a company in the UK that made something close, but they won't ship to the U.S., and he is on the hunt for the kill switch as well but hasn't had much luck. 1
tunahead72 2,412 #2 Posted May 10, 2021 Interesting... I saw the "Duo-Therm" in your title, and remembered that the house I grew up in had a Duo-Therm oil-burning stove to keep us warm in the frigid South Carolina winters. I had no idea they also made (or at least marketed) a line of lawn mowers. I have no idea where to find parts for the mowers, but they must be out there somewhere in internet land. Good luck! Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted May 10, 2021 Clinton VS200?? What sort of kill switch? Usually those just had a ground tab on the plug or on the throttle slider. I think I even have a few in the pile.. or was this something else? Wonder if pedal car hubcaps would be close?
