Manfred: Verbrachte 5 Jahre in Ihrem Land (1984-1989) in Heidleberg. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und vermissen es und das Bier !!! Ich hoffe, wir können Ihren C-175 zum Laufen bringen ...

You know, I took two years of German in college.  It was a very difficult language for me to learn, and I responded badly, by skipping classes and labs, that sort of thing (I could tell you stories).  "They" told me it would be useful for my math major (which it wasn't), but if "they" had just told me that it would be useful 50 years later for communicating about Wheel Horse tractors, I might have taken it all more seriously.  I definitely should have paid more attention. B)

The company I worked for for 40years has it’s H.Q. in St Blasien, Germany. We started having lessons in the German language shortly after I joined. Had some great evenings there at the Hotel Albltalblick. 🍺🍺🍺🍺. The thing was, nearly everyone we spoke to there, spoke English! 🤔 including the people at the factory. Infact , somes folks there,  spoke it “Bettera than wot we does over ere”.  🤪

Hallo Manfred!

Welche Messgeräte haben Sie in Ihre Maschine eingebaut? Sie scheinen beleuchtet zu sein.

What gauges have you installed in your machine?  They appear to have lighting.

can't happen to me. i live in a village with 600 inhabitants (including cows, chickens and horses). Nobody there speaks english, only german dialect, which nobody in the rest of the republic understands either

That’s the 2 most senseful Gauges,  the illumination on top is a nice Gadget.

there is one more thing - the fuel gauge under the seat ;)

The lid was broken, so I took a transparent lid from a curd jar, which I formed round

Next to it you can see the two reinforcement plates on the floor of the seat mount too
