Alumaloy welding rods

They used to sell this stuff or something like it on TV one of those infomercial the voice over was a woman with a very very seductive voice....I bought some at a military vehicle show years ages ago tried it once didn't work and it is still around here some where

I think I saw "As Seen on TV" somewhere in that page on Amazon, yes, you are correct.

I saw that one or a similar and immediately questioned it, so I went on a search for reviews and ..... well, lets just say that they got some pretty scathing reviews.

I've seen them for sale in the commercial building during the State Fair.  They are talked up as the solution for everything.  Seems too good to be true.  Have not tried them.

I use these, they are flux cored and work slicker than cat cr@p on linoleum ....

Yep... needs very low heat and very easy to use. We use them for patching AL coils that :occasion-clown: like Skunky @squonk ran a screw into. I used them to patch/fill in holes in a  AL 701 tank wher the PO had a throttle  mounted. Is a bit of technique to using them so practice a bit of scrap is advised.

Dab of silicone on the point of the screw  before installing.A real time saver!:ychain:

 

I sealed a rad on an International Bus with Freshen Up Gum! :banana-linedance:

Gum story is true. Filled the rad with water and Genny Creme-Ale from the band cooler plus a little water from the ditch.
