Wasn't much of a thought at all by either one of us about going with an asphalt roof. We both like the look of metal much better. The lifespan of a metal roof is far longer than most shingle roofs. Snow just....... Slides off...... So there's no concern about keeping the first two or three feet clear all the time. We were considering a black metal roof for a while for efficiency reasons but decided to go for red. Very happy we went that way.

ebinmaine 67,618 #24 Posted May 4, 2021 Everything that is needed to be water resistant is finished up. Chimney base lead replaced. What's left now is to put the white PVC trim, red metal end rake covers on and for PVC lamb chops at the bottom corners. 2
