bo dawg 516 #1 Posted May 2, 2021 I pulled the pulley off of the pump cause it was wobbly and it was put on in a bind. My question is about the key way. The pulley slot is bigger than the slot on the pump shaft. Is that correct or maybe a wrong pulley? If correct, where can I find a good correct key? The one I got is a deck spindle key that’s been poorly ground down to half ass fit. I’m guessing that why the pulley was on crooked.
JoeM 7,871 #2 Posted May 2, 2021 An offset key may fix your problem. Not sure what you need. Need to measure the shaft key size and the pulley size. Is a straight or woodruff key needed? MMC cares most all common sizes. Or evil bay.
bo dawg 516 #3 Posted May 2, 2021 Yes it’s a woodruff key. I will check the site out after I figure what the sizes are.
bo dawg 516 #4 Posted May 10, 2021 How can I find out what the pumps shaft size and pully should be? The hole in the pully is a good bit bigger than the pump shaft. Someone had some thin aluminum around the shaft to fit pully better but was still cocked.
