seuadr 488 #1 Posted April 28, 2021 Hey all. i have a 48" side discharge deck, which has needed serious work for a long time. I recently got my hands on a couple of smaller decks (i think they are either 38 or 42") that are beat up, but, have their pullies and spindles intact. Now - the reason i've put off the rebuild on the 48" deck is that when i started trying to pull it apart, it was clear it wanted a fight, and i didn't. So it has been sitting - but - these other two decks i got for next to nothing so it seems like time to consider reapproaching this - assuming that the pullies are compatible - cause it is pretty clear that the current ones are not coming off in one piece. Jeff-C175 7,199 #4 Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) Suede, there's some info on the pulley and spindle interchange in this thread courtesy of Dave. I ended up buying all new stuff, turns out my spindles were BER (Beyond Economical Repair) @seuadr Edited April 28, 2021 by Jeff-C175
