Polyps nurse Cindy says Norm ... pretty common and minor she says. Supposed to help one breath better. She also says they often do a septoplasty while they there. ... what ever that is. Supposed to help you sniff wine better I guess in Dino's case!

Steve,

Glad to hear that all went well. It seems that with the inactivity of this past year the thing to do was have surgery! I had Arthroscopy Knee Surgery to repair a torn meniscus in September and now Blepharoplasty on both eyes a month ago. The eye surgery had to be put off twice due to Covid spikes in the area. General anesthesia both times and a few weeks to recover.

Stay well!.

Hi guys, and Thank You for all the Prayers and Well Wishes.  :notworthy:

   I had Covid-19 back in October and November last year.  I had it pretty bad for a few weeks, short of breath, joint aches, choking cough, some fever, no apatite and sooo tired.  I slept for days.  I lost 25 pounds and could not taste or smell anything.  When it was over I became what they call a "long hauler".  I still had the shortness of breath, lack of taste and smell, and still ached in the joints.  I could do things, but not for long.  No head ache or fever, just blah.

   I started going to doctors to see if they could help me.  I finally found an Ear, Nose & Throat Dr., we did a bunch of tests (including a CT Scan).  Found the polyps and signs of some infection.  The surgery was sure more then I thought it was going to be.  I think my doctor knew, as he said, "We will see what we find and go from there."  Well after 4 hours of surgery, he kept me over night for observation.  The nurses were absolutely fantastic, they were having a tough day also.  My 1st nurse must have sat with me for more then a 1/2 hour as we just talked with each other.  That was nice as I could not get comfortable so as to sleep.  Up all night and nothing but coffee.  Well, I'm back home and I can definitely breath better.  Still a ways to go, but this was a huge step in the right direction.   BTW, Chris and I have both had our 2nd Moderna shots last Friday...probably why I am so sore.

   Anyway, it was soo nice to get back on Red Square and then find this thread.  You guys humble me and really know how to make someone feel better.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!  :occasion-xmas:

   Please get the vaccination and practice social distancing and masks...be smart  I would not wish what I have gone through on anybody.  It is extremely painful.

that is no fun Steve i been thru the same surgery 7 years ago . removed polyps  and found deviated septum . had to break my nose and set it back straight again same surgery . I  bet I had a headache for a week with my face wrapped up . and covid not fun been there also . now  I learned I have asthma now . my ear nose throat dr said I would be fine no allergies and all not true !!! two year ago he looked and some polyps grew back and i won't go thru that again . just had my second moderna  vac. past Monday and put me out for a day with a high fever .least wasn't as bad as the first one i was sick for 3 day's :)     guess it hell to get old

@stevasaurus.

It sounds like things are going well for you and we are happy to hear that. Not knowing what was going on at first added to our concerns but the clowns here filled in the gaps in their own goofy but loving way. Thke care of yourself friend and get back to 100%. We need to Skype again soon. :)
