ebinmaine 67,500 #26 Posted April 29, 2021 How's the top of the hood? Pretty straight?
Gregor 4,846 #27 Posted April 29, 2021 (edited) The original hood, the one I lost, then found again, is pitted. The one from Lincoln, is good. I maybe wrong, but it sure seems like there are less parts to a 656, than a 876. Which is a good thing. Edited April 29, 2021 by Gregor

Gregor 4,846 #29 Posted April 29, 2021 Got my paint booth built, AGAIN! Which is more work than you might think. This time I hope to leave it up, until the 125 is ready for paint. The 125 may be my last tractor, as I simply don't have room for any more. All the parts are are wiped, and ready for primer. I was actually going to start painting, but it started raining. I had to get the 876, and a few other thing back in under cover. I have most of the small parts painted. Some one color, some another color, but none of them red. I forgot to remove the serial # tag, and they blasted it. Oh well, not their fault. This was never going to be a show tractor anyway. My colors may be a mistake, time will tell. It's only paint, it can be re-done. The hood and belt guard will wait and be painted alone. I almost posted a pic with the old hood, painted the finish color. That would have been bad.
Gregor 4,846 #30 Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) The 656 is all back together, and running under it's own power. It's done, except for decals, and having to re-paint the wheels. Wanna see some pics? NOPE ! It's not completely done yet. Instead, here are some pics of my wifes early gardens. Something to look at anyway. I decided not to go with decals. Going to try something else. I have changed the name of the tractor 3 times. Terry is gonna shoot me. This is where she grows her pot (s) Edited May 1, 2021 by Gregor

I think a black engine is that little bit of difference. Used black when I refurbed. The contrast works for me, too.
Gregor 4,846 #32 Posted May 6, 2021 The new key chain and serial number tag are on the 656, so it must also be done. Technically, it's not. I haven't come up with a deacl design yet. I bought some self adhesive numbers and letters, and put them on for now. I also made up some small decals on my computer. This is the original 656, when I got it. Pretty much covered head to toe with red primer. Meet Casper ! I think it would be pretty safe to say, I won't be painting anything white again, in the near future. The only red on the whole tractor, is on the key chain, with the exception of some wiring. If I made that all black and white, it would confuse me, and pretty soon the whole tractor would be an ugly charcoal color. While I didn't want to put any red on the tractor, I did want to satisfy the purists. Soooooo....Instead of putting red on the tractor, I put a little RED in it. ! The light won't be staying. It's just for fun. 2
Gregor 4,846 #33 Posted May 6, 2021 Well I'm not sure just how I did that. Moderator....Help?
ebinmaine 67,500 #34 Posted May 6, 2021 I LIKE it. I LIKE it. I LIKE it. I LIKE it. Trina and I have talked about doing a tractor white at some point or another. Didn't get around to it, I think, because ours are workers and we figured it would look whatever the Earth color is around it very quickly. NICE WORK.
Handy Don 12,232 #35 Posted May 6, 2021 As a statement, it works, and it's one more saved tractor! Kudos
D_Mac 8,619 #36 Posted May 6, 2021 Looks great, knocked another one out of the park. Is Terry around ? I sent him email few days ago and no reply. He usually gets back right away.
WheelHorse520H 708 #37 Posted May 9, 2021 I like the black and white, it works well on that tractor. I would personally not have considered doing b&w but you made it look great on that, and as @Handy Don said it’s another one saved.
