ebinmaine 67,627 #2 Posted April 23, 2021 Can't say I've heard of it myself. I'll be curious to see what others say. I switched over to Kinetix oil a couple years ago. Seems fine but I certainly haven't been using it long enough for longevity to be tested. If I'm careful with shopping I can get Kinetix for about $4 a quart. squonk 41,155 #3 Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) I use Shell Rotella 30 all year. Look how clean the inside of this engine is at 980 hours and how nice the crank journal looks. haydendavid380 759 #4 Posted April 23, 2021 Wally world had a ton of the VP small engine on clearance last year. It says Kohler recommended on it. I scooped up a bunch at $1 a quart, but I'm running low on it now. It's harder than you think to find a synthetic straight 30 weight. Even more so to find something with higher zinc levels. I just got a jug in today. I imagine it'll be fine. I just hadn't heard much about it, and all the googling I did turned up stuff about their diesel oil.
