520 Fuel Tank

I have a good one.  The electric fuel gage has been romoved and sold, but the tank is all ok.  $45 shipped from zip 16433.

Here's a under seat tank.   I don't know what it off of or if they are all the same.

 

Oops Dave has one.      Brings up the question though.  Are all under seat tanks the same?

I installed a 520H tank and gauges in my C165 a few years ago so I'd say it'd fit many more machines than a 520.

The 520H tank has a fuel gauge sending unit in the right rear corner.

Right Lynn,  I was questioning if  the size and shape of all under seat tanks are the same.    Was the sending unit on the 520s  added on by drilling holes or is there a molded in boss?

They all look the same to me, Wheel Horse didn't change things just for the fun of it. I had my sending unit out don't remember anything different

Now we know, had to be recessed so the electrical connections didn't touch the fender. I had it apart because the seal leaked when I washed it out. 

that was over two years ago, made a new rubber seal, that part I do remember.

As for all the same... NOT.  I have 3 or 4 different versions of the under-seat fuel tanks...although shcematics show them as appearing the same...NOT.  The one I have w/out the fuel gage is definitely from a 520-H that I farted out a few years ago. It looks like the one above...

If I need one I would try it, might be small revisions in construction or make by different companies. There could be differeses because they were used with two different hydros and the 8 speed.
