OutdoorEnvy 1,522 #1 Posted April 15, 2021 Hello Folks! New here from Oklahoma. Looking forward to sharing projects and fun times with the old red tractors. I do small engine work as a side job/hobby and have done some save projects before but had not found the right deal on a wheel horse until recently. They aren't easy to come by here in the south so was happy to come across this 312-8, it's a 1985. Will post more on it later but in the meantime I'm already enjoying some post and pictures from this place and looking forward to more. 10
peter lena 8,629 #3 Posted April 15, 2021 ENVY , welcome to the site , looks pretty good ,know you will be looking for answers , to a lot of areas, something that you can do very easily is to give that paint a ,MARVEL MYSTERY OIL RUBDOWN , to feed the paint , stop the rust and make it start to shine . rub it down till the paint is dry , and look at the difference , do it again in a few days , the shine will inspire you to do other things , pete
oliver2-44 9,755 #4 Posted April 15, 2021 I have a 1985 312-8 that I restored about 5 years ago for my son to use at his new home. That one sure is clean looking, mine wasn't when i got it. Give it a good service and cleaning,, then a nice wax job at it will look like new!
