Anyone Recognize This Old Farm Tractor

Recommended Posts

oliver2-44

I was cruising around on Facebook Marketplace last night and this old farm tractor has got me stumped what it is?

I even tried to google find one like it and drew a blank.

.

I don't recall seeing this type rear end on what otherwise might look like a McCormic/Farmall or Case front end!

I was thinking Farmall F12, but that rear end is different; some sort of row crop.  Whatever it is, it is old.

I'm stumped yet.

Frame & sheet metal look like a McCormick F-12.

Spark plugs are the wrong side of the engine to be a McCormick

Drop down rear axle was usually an Allis Chalmers thing.

:confusion-confused:

The grille tells me Case? Then again I have no idea.

This is what happens when you leave different brands in the same shed overnight unsupervised!🙀🐣

OLIVER2-44, don't know what it is , but the rear PORTAGE WHEEL GEARING, AND DIRECT REAR END, GEARING ACCESS , IS REALLY IN ANOTHER CLASS!  what ever it is , its worth saving , seen similar long left tractors , actually come back to life with not that much effort till first " pop " .  pull plugs ,  penetrating oil soak , separate fuel  supply , fill carb , get engine turning over , neat project . pete

Thanks everyone.  I guess I've just seen so many side views of them.  The gas tank and front steering said Farmall to me, but I've really looked at the rear end like that picture showed.

That is probably how my 520H ended up with a Cub engine in it!

Agree, Farmall Regular.  The exposed steering gears in the front is the give away.  A Farmall F-20 or F-30 will have the gears enclosed in a small housing, but the rest of the tractor will be harder to distinguish between the Regular and F-20s, F-30s.

busy trying to figure out if that was the shifter or a flag pole!

Some of the old Farmalls had a hand clutch and you had to bend down to operate it.   :confusion-confused:   Looks like they extended it.
