oliver2-44 9,726 #1 Posted April 15, 2021 I was cruising around on Facebook Marketplace last night and this old farm tractor has got me stumped what it is? I even tried to google find one like it and drew a blank. . I don't recall seeing this type rear end on what otherwise might look like a McCormic/Farmall or Case front end! 3

bds1984 1,429 #3 Posted April 15, 2021 I was thinking Farmall F12, but that rear end is different; some sort of row crop. Whatever it is, it is old.
ranger 1,748 #4 Posted April 15, 2021 Looks like it has the cattle stumped as well🤔 1
Achto 27,562 #5 Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) I'm stumped yet. Frame & sheet metal look like a McCormick F-12. Spark plugs are the wrong side of the engine to be a McCormick Drop down rear axle was usually an Allis Chalmers thing. Pullstart 62,834 #6 Posted April 15, 2021 The grille tells me Case? Then again I have no idea.

peter lena 8,606 #9 Posted April 15, 2021 OLIVER2-44, don't know what it is , but the rear PORTAGE WHEEL GEARING, AND DIRECT REAR END, GEARING ACCESS , IS REALLY IN ANOTHER CLASS! what ever it is , its worth saving , seen similar long left tractors , actually come back to life with not that much effort till first " pop " . pull plugs , penetrating oil soak , separate fuel supply , fill carb , get engine turning over , neat project . pete

WHX?? 48,813 #11 Posted April 15, 2021 TractorData.com Farmall Regular tractor information I was too busy trying to figure out if that was the shifter or a flag pole!
oliver2-44 9,726 #12 Posted April 15, 2021 Thanks everyone. I guess I've just seen so many side views of them. The gas tank and front steering said Farmall to me, but I've really looked at the rear end like that picture showed.

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #14 Posted April 16, 2021 Agree, Farmall Regular. The exposed steering gears in the front is the give away. A Farmall F-20 or F-30 will have the gears enclosed in a small housing, but the rest of the tractor will be harder to distinguish between the Regular and F-20s, F-30s.
