Sparky-(Admin) 21,330 #33 Posted May 31, 2021 Russ’s daughter reached out to let me know he is back in the hospital.....had a pacemaker installed this time. That should clear up any of Russ’s irregular heartbeats and get him back on a tractor . Get well Russ (probably our oldest member)! 4

dcrage 628 #37 Posted May 31, 2021 Damn funky heart rhythms. There are several of us in this community that have this affliction. Thank goodness for the wonders of modern medicine. And speedy recovery to Russ!! 1
rmaynard 15,514 #38 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Russ, be careful around your radio equipment. My dad was a ham radio operator and had a homebrew kilowatt amp. He also had chronic AFib. He wouldn't get a pacemaker because his doctor told him his radio equipment could make it malfunction. Edited June 1, 2021 by rmaynard 1

Sparky-(Admin) 21,330 #45 Posted June 6, 2021 Update: So Russ got back home a few days ago with new pacemaker installed but had a dizzy episode and was rushed to hospital. He has since been discharged and is now in a rehab place. Hopefully it will be a short stay and he can get back home. 1 1 2

Mickwhitt 4,642 #47 Posted June 6, 2021 God bless Russ, keep that ticker purring on. I wear a smart watch and it says my resting heart rate drops to 32 while I'm asleep. Not sure if that's bad or not but it must save some wear and tear. Lol

Mickwhitt 4,642 #49 Posted June 6, 2021 Lol, I think its running a bit lean, but my mum went for some physio in her fifties and the therapist was very alarmed by her resting pulse of 20. Must run in the family.
